Warwickshire CMS aims to be a music service of the highest quality, making inspirational, shared, and wide ranging musical experiences available for all young people. Read the full version of our values and commitment here.

There are 170 teachers in the CMS organised into three areas of tuition; Music education team (MET) Instrumental specialist team (IST) and Curriculum support team (CST). Our organisation chart given more details of this structure.

This structure is designed to enable CMS to meet our purposes of engaging as many as possible in musical experiences, as well as meeting the demands of schools, parents, and communities.

CMS staff teach a wide range of instruments, including all traditional orchestral instruments as well as world music, guitar, contemporary, keyboard, early music, classroom, music therapy and choral.

Our staff are selected carefully not only for their ability to play specific instruments, but for their ability to pass on such skill, as well as a love of music and music making. Expectations placed on our staff are high, both in their teaching and in their professionalism. All staff are monitored regularly and have a structured programme of personal and corporate development. All staff have been carefully checked according to latest government requirements.

Our administrative staff are vital to our success. They are a well managed and skilled team who are as committed to our ethos as our teaching staff. Not only will you find them helpful, courteous and effective, but you will often see them at CMS workshops and concerts, either to assist in the smooth running of the event, or just to enjoy listening to the musical achievements of young people!
