Music Centres
Warwickshire County Music Service has recently restructured its centres into 5 Area Music Centres: Music Centres exist to enable young people to meet outside school and enjoy music making together. All activities are directed by our own highly qualified staff and are heavily subsidised. Some are available free of charge. There has been enormous development of the CMS music centres in the last 2 years and we have now established five area music centres. Each Area Music Centre is supported by an Area Manager and Deputy Area Manager. Within each region there are orchestras, bands, choirs, steel pan and samba groups at all levels. New activities now available include the regional orchestras, percussion ensembles, samba groups and choirs. Numbers of pupils talking part in Music Centre activities has increased by 50% in the last 12 months!
